River Island SS15: Pastels, Prints & Positive Mental Attitudes!

Accessories, Fashion, Popular Culture, Retail, Style Hunting

Pastel colours, dreamy printed slogan t-shirts and bold uplifting slogans rule River Island’s spring drop.  Even the more subdued pastel pieces, such as this mint chain handled clutch, £13, sizzle with a zing that will make you excited about the prettiest season of the year!  this may be one of the smallest clutch bags ever, but it’s big on boldness, as the lettering on both sides suggests, it has that POW-WOW factor!   The monochrome one emblazoned with 76 (also £13) is adorable too!

If you’re a sucker for a cool slogan tee, you’re in for a some real treats.  Dreamy prints and “can-do attitude” expressions pop against dreamy backdrops and colours, here are some of my favourites that have just arrived, £18.

White t-shirts are a great accompaniment to colour-popping accessories and pastels in the spring, white’s like a blank canvas and is more refreshing than black on warmer days. The “Less Don’ts More Do’s” tee is also available in white.

So many colourful offerings to look forward to from RI this spring.  Bold lettering is big news for bags…

This one says “Hold Me” on it and comes with a handy coin purse, which is the yellow charm with the eyes on it, a detachable long strap gives you the option of carrying it on your shoulder or you could always use the smaller straps.  At £55 it’s a good SS15 investment and will cheer up any look instantly!

Last but not least, a high street accessory that takes inspiration from a designer.  With this square box clutch, £30, Celine becomes “Celfie,” a play on selfie.
