It’s been an exciting week style-wise, the highlight being the new H&M store in Wolverhampton.  When asked what stores people wanted to see included in the revamp of the Mander Centre, H&M topped the list.  Wolverhampton H&M is phenomenal, it’s the only H&M store in the Midlands to have a homewares section and it also has a make-up and beauty section to rival that of a high-end counter!  If you live in the Midands, it’s a stack bigger than their Merry Hill store.  Located downstairs in the Mander Centre, it’s the boost that part of the shopping mall needed.  Just when some people complained about all of the empty shells and closed shops in Wolverhampton, the first part of the shopping centre regeneration is coming to life.

I felt at such an advantage to be one of the first shoppers to see the new store on grand opening day (yesterday), it opened at 11am and the people waiting for it to open got a wonderful discount, 25% off your purchases all day.

I knew something exciting was hiding behind these boards!

There were so many things that caught my eye, and I’m looking forward to future trips to this magical store.  I came away with a pair of relaxed slim jeans which tick several fashion boxes with a couple of randomly placed rips and some rather funky patches.  The eyeball and lips patch you can see are made up of sequins.
I also bought some glossy court style shoes which are just the right red hue for the autumn and festive season, they will be perfect for those Christmas do’s and occasions where I fancy wearing heels.  I also came away with a 3 pack of rings and one of the lipsticks from their super affordable beauty range.  I treated myself to a pillar box red shade called Classic Cardinal. There’s an unlimited shade range with all of their make-up products and their  formulas and how they feel are up there with MAC!

If I could sum 2016 up with an unlikely sounding trend, I would say that it has been the year of relaxed jeans and pointy shoes, if you’re yet to try this look for yourself, it’s so easy to pull off and looks incredibly chic, even as everyday casual wearing flats.

This week seems to have been all about red shades, I have done some of my festive preparations early this year and although it’s been a rather tough year, I think I’m getting into the spirit of the season to be jolly and joyful.

This year’s John Lewis advert, just, no words.  Buster the boxer dog, those fox cubs and all the other animals are just beyond cute.  Innocent animals dancing on a trampoline and having fun hasn’t been without criticism though, with some overprotective parents Tweeting: “give your child Tuberculosis for Christmas!” I thought some people’s misconceptions were a little far-fetched, I can’t help but think the hidden message was “give your child hours of fun, fresh air and excercise for Christmas.” It’s so refreshing to see an advert depicting parents setting up a toy that isn’t square, because the world isn’t.

I took another trip to New Look solely to have a peek at their revamped beauty range, and couldn’t resist another 2 of their gorgeous nail polishes.  Ruby, which is the perfect winter wine, and Glitterbug.  I’ve noticed some of them are exact dupes of more expensive nail brands such as Deborah Lippmann.  Great news for beauty addicts who want to save some bucks!

After much Amazon-ing I finally found the ultimate cat eyeliner and smoky-eye cheat… Beth Bender Beauty stencils.  Not only are these meant to help you achieve a precision you only thought you could dream of, they also save loads of time.  Soon the days of winged eyeliner making you late will be gone!
