Mules are making a big comeback this summer, Fendi’s floral offerings tick all of the chic boxes with their bright candy colours, block heels and patent finishes… they look good enough to eat!

Fendi sure know how to incorporate florals into their accessories without them looking dated – with ditsy detailing on ultra modern shapes, there are no wardrobe de ja vus here!

Dolce & Gabbana’s use of flamboyant, multicoloured tassels and sequins will guarantee a turn of heads at that summer party!

Rainbow, eccentric, embellished, fringed…? Dolce & Gabbana know Summer 2017 will be all about the most vivid detailing!

Miu Miu’s crystals, sleek satin and feather detailing will make sure your feet do the talking this SS17!

Mix n’ Match Monday…

Mix n’ match with the 3 top trends this week… Floral skater dresses, beaded and embellished bags, and satin sandals!

Monochrome gets a garden party makeover with this black and white floral McQueen skater, a floral Fendi bag adds some big splashes of colour while the final touch of glamour is this irresistible pair of satin Manolo Bhlaniks.

Christopher Kane’s cottoned on to the Gingham check trend with this dress, combining it with some watercolour florals to liven up the look. Go dotty with a subtle beaded clutch from Givenchy to compliment the colours in the dress, and who can resist a pair of silky Pausto Puglisi satin shoes!

If you want to go for something a little less busy in the dress department, this Red Valentino LBD still packs some dainty floral collar detail which can be easily complimented with a sparkly beaded bag for easy evening glamour, this Fendi bag is perfect arm candy and the No21 shoes are the perfect sexy summer hue!

Off the shoulder skater dresses are big news for summer, McQueen has them down to a tee with this racy coloured floral number, rock up the look with a Marc Jacobs cross body with plenty of studding and embellishments to add much needed edge, keep the look feminine with ruffled Marco De Vincenzo satin mules!

Trend Tuesday: Two Tone & Applique Bags!

Accessories, Colours, Designer Collaborations, Fashion, handbags, Pattern & Print, Popular Culture, Retail, SS17, Style Hunting, Tips

Block colour, Two Tone bags are set to be a hit this SS17.  Many designers have some rather tempting arm candy you won’t be able to resist!

Moschino’s use of bold cool and warm hues, quilting and chain straps ticks all of the on trend boxes!

Fendi are another designer who have made the most of using more than one colour, even incorporating snakeskin patterns and detailing at the edges.

Their use of stunning multi coloured studs and floral Applique will certainly put one of these beauties on your wish list!

Michael Kors know several secrets to the perfect handbag, and are making the best use of monochrome, block colour and even gold studding, for an inventive way of pepping up a plain cross body.

Be it gold leafing, two different textures or block colour, Chloe have this trend down to a tee with their Drew crossbody bags.  Most definitely one of the most popular “it bags,” and yes, one of these is on my handbag bucket list.  Might find it impossible to choose just one though!

Embroidered Bags…

Gucci, Fendi, and Dolce and Gabbana have all been rolling out crossbody bags adorned with delicately stitched embroidery recently. They add a pop of colour to any ensemble. The ones I found on Polyvore will have the dainty detailing trend down to a tee!

Embroidered accessories are a subtle yet playful way to accessorize a little black dress!

LBD, Metallic Shoes & Box Clutch: All D&G!

Ponchos & Oversized Scarves…

Oversized knits made with cosy wool have been the comfiest way to look stylish all winter.  Missoni, H&M and Zara, to name but a few, have some of the best cosy knits in various colours and patterns.  Be it a poncho or oversized scarf, it is just the investment to ensure you stay snug through the January freeze in style.

Offset a bold coloured knit with a dark outfit, classic accessories and neutral shades for nails and make up to avoid throwing your look back to the 70’s and 80’s, which were the original poncho heydays!

Oversized scarf, £14.99, H&M

“Badged Up” Denim Jeans…

Sewn on patches have been big news last year and will continue to stick around.  You don’t have to be a teenager or a youngster to appreciate this playful take on a classic casual look.

This is one of the most versatile trends of the season and you can even DIY it!  A lot of stores have sold some cool sew on patches for jeans and jackets, or if DIY isn’t your strong point, there are plenty of pre-patched styles available virtually everywhere!

Jeans with patches, £29.99, H&M, Jacket, £39.99, H&M, phone case, Skinnydip London

My favourite way to wear embellished jeans is to dress them for the weekend with a biker jacket, and a small or medium handbag.

Winter White Blazer…

White has been a popular hue for jackets and blazers this winter.  Not as frequently seen as the black biker or other styles, a white jacket or Blazer is one of the trends best paired with ripped jeans and a casual T-shirt or sweater underneath to avoid repeating a look of its tackier yesteryears.

Keeping accessories simple and make-up on the more neutral side will keep the look crisp, fresh and ready to take on 2017!
