Are you ready to enjoy your most colourful, envy inducing seaside snaps and selfies on social media yet?  Course you are! Just pack some up to the minute swimwear and accessories, Instagram likes guaranteed!

Sleek & polished with a touch of bohemian glamour, Chloe fringed sandals and a Haight coral one piece scream summer 2017! (Above)

Unleash some serious wanderlust on the beach and beyond wearing popping pinks and dreamy violets! A hot pink Forever Unique swimsuit with bang on trend lace detail paired with a sharp yet comfy wrap skirt will sizzle along the seafront.  A 3.1 Philip Lim mauve Pashli may induce envy amongst fellow holiday makers!  Brights are excellent at amplifying a golden tan, too!

Serene block colours & simple accessories never go out of date.  Look sleek yet mysterious in a deep ocean Diane Von Furstenburg one piece and Prada block sandals, while a pastel pink Kenzo tote will stylishly hold your essentials whilst adding a touch of feminine simplicity.

Spring through the palms in a D&G tropical bikini and accessorize with the coolest lime green sandals from Prada and a pair of aviators!

Chillax poolside in the dreamiest blues.  One piece swimsuits are big news, and are modest enough to be worn with this summer’s wrap skirts for some stunning summer evening looks.  Arcadia have some irresistible swimsuits and I just love this aquatic looking skirt from Fausto Puglisi!

Clean Lines & Monochrome stripes in the form of the ultimate Marc Jacobs maxi equals instant Beach to bar chic! Don’t forget to add a touch of sparkle, these Giuseppe Zanotti kitten heels are perfection!

Slip into this celestial River swimwear and a pair of mirrored Ray-Bans and unlock that inner mermaid!

Transition this sea foam shimmer swimsuit from River Island from sitting at the sea side to sipping cocktails outside! Add a tropical print wrap skirt like this Missoni beauty and a cross body bag in a cool hue like this one from Jimmy Choo.  And these designer look platforms are a steal from ASOS!

Summer brights & pastels inspired by sweetest, juiciest seaside treats! Ruffled dresses like this Anna October maxi are fresh off the catwalk! Amp it up with a juicy clutch from Commes Des Garçons and a pop of watermelon gloss on nails and lips!

Maxi up a midsummer’s night in a floor length Melissa Obadash dress that’s just peachy. Bling up a plain dress with a choker, the hottest boho glam jewellery trend of SS17.  Be daring, add an unexpected accessory like Judith Leiber’s crystal encrusted beach ball clutch.

A black dress is a blank canvas – for absolutely any colour bag or any style of shoe. Everyone should own at least one black dress in their lifetime due to its ability to take you absolutely anywhere. From a loose casual day at the beach or mall to that ultra modern new bar in the evening, you can dress a black dress up or down!

Black, livened up with metallic heels & a pop of pink… instant chic. Modern, feminine, individual, this is one clash you can get away with!

There’s something magical about monochrome accessories.  What they lack in flavourful colour they make up for in polished, film noir sophistication that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into one of those black and white movies and met your screen icon role model.

Max up on the metallics – gold, silver, rose gold – for instant nighttime glitz that oozes sophistication.

Want a more bohemian, garden party vibe that doesn’t compromise on style? Good news, you can still rock a pair of gorgeous platforms like these Steve Madden beauties. Look for lace or ruffles for a relaxed take on the LBD and accessories that lean towards earthy tones, monogram and florals are fine as long as they’re not too OTT!

Break tradition with a rocky, rebellious twist on this look. Try layering a white tee underneath a black strappy dress or invest in this pre-layered R13 number. Accessory wise, think block heels, platforms, studs, snakeskin and chains.

Valentino (above)

Wow, is there anything Valentino haven’t done?  Their totes, clutches and cross body bags come in the widest colour scheme and pattern varieties around.  Diagonal? Horizontal? Intercepted with studs?  Their creativity knows no bounds.

Sophie Hulme

Bold, bright, not a dull colour in sight!  The Sophie Hulme tote is well and truly on my bag bucket list!  Smaller versions of her beautiful rainbows are available in perfect clutch size and purse form!

Balenciaga

Whether you’re dressing up for the office or having a comfy, casual day off, these red, white and blue Balenciaga beauties will add serious sophistication to your look.

Mulberry

Fancy something a little more subdued?  If you don’t want to brave brights, Mulberry’s diagonal striped cross body bags are the perfect injection of burgundy, mustard and navy shades.

Fendi

Fendi have been doing exceptionally well on the bag front lately.  Their artful take on this spring’s trend will undoubtedly speak to those who like to rock their own individual style.  I like how they’ve curved their stripe detailing and overlapped clashing colours, they’re so imaginative.

Comme Des Garçons

Comme Des Garçons make a sleek statement with chunky, vertical stripe and a  hold-it-all size and shape.  Tres chic!

In my last post I mentioned hip London accessory brand Skinnydip London, who know more than a thing or two about creating some of the funkiest bags, clutches and phone protection cases out there!

I love my new black Hannah chain bag, £30 from their Topshop concession, Pom-Pom was a cute add on of my own, also Topshop.  If you’re ordering online for the first time on http://www.skinnydiplondon.com be sure to enter code FIRSTORDER at the check out for a cool 10% off!

Another retailer who have mastered the art of the perfect it bag is River Island, my favourite of their current collection being this denim-hued winged tote.  I just love the gold detailing and bold zippers!

There are a lot of “Ghillie” lace up style shoes about and these black, block heeled peep-toes from New Look will compliment most outfits, I have a feeling they’ll sell like hot cakes!

Iridescent, holographic accessories are here to stay, too, watches and fashion jewellery are another thing New Look absolutely shine at, this iridescent faced gold chronograph style watch is only £19.99!

Amongst my most recent style haul is an amazing monochrome Forever 21 fitted skirt, Aztec style patterns are going nowhere fast!

I also treated myself to a simple but on trend jumper from Primark which features weave detailing, which is big news.

Semi precious necklace was a bargain at £2 in Topshop’s sale

Beauty wise, this week I’ve been taking a break from eye make-up as I have conjunctivitis, hopefully it’ll be gone in no time because my GP prescribed antibiotic drops which are controlling a lot of the symptoms, but I can’t wait to try the newest Bourjois Smoky Stories eyeshadow quads in Grey-zy In Love and Welcome Black (Top picture) once my eyes have fully recovered.

Girls don’t despair if this happens to you, it’s a good excuse to buy new eye make-up!

Today I dug out my Music Rising T-shirt from Dublin’s Hard Rock Café and proceeded with the late summer ritual that is the blackberry pick.  Got a ton of thorn pricks and juicy hands but it’s the type of therapeutic fun that makes you lose track of time for a while, before you know it you’ve got a lovely basket of black-forest goodness that’s delicious in a fruit crumble!  If you haven’t heard of Music Rising, they’re a good-cause born out of Hurricane Katrina 10 years ago, Music Rising’s mission was to replace musical instruments for musicians who lost theirs in the hurricane in New Orleans in 2005.  The Edge from U2 is very much involved in this initiative and New Orleans is slowly getting there with the regeneration of buildings and places that were devastated when disaster struck a decade ago.

Online I’ve been browsing the latest trends and beauty collections for AW15, MAC’s new collections have me excited, especially their new Veluxe A Trois collection.  Veluxe A Trois is mainly made up of trios of MAC’s silky Pearlfusion eyeshadows in a cute little compact, hence the name.  Limited edition, velvety Cremesheen Lipsticks are also part of the collection and there’s some pretty awesome Cremesheen Lipglasses, too!  Hot pink lovers, check out Cremesheen Lipstick in Flowerscope!  You can see the full collection on the website of MAC, http://www.maccosmetics.com.

River Island, New Look and H&M are all warming up for the cosiest, yet most stylish Fall yet and I already have my eye on a few key high-street pieces sure to fly off the rails.  Biker jackets with a fur trim seem to be the new “it coat,” with RI offering a variety of leather and faux fur colours.  Green isn’t normally a colour I’d go for in a winter jacket, but the teal number is a beauty!  These are just two of the lovelies available at River Island in store or online for £65…

On the designer front, it hasn’t half been an innovative year for Louis Vuitton, who’ve branched out into the wonders of the logo-twistlock on their chain-handled bags, a la Chanel.  I always pictured the classic LV bag to be a zipped affair adorned with a print of the signature logo, but in this case, LV have sent their logo to work!  Apparently, you twist the L on the top flap to line up with the V to open them.  A variety of sizes, patterns and colours have been released, however, non-fussy, subdued denim blue remains my favourite of the bunch!  As rocked by Beyoncé!

Accessories, Designer Collaborations, Fashion, Popular Culture, Retail, Style Hunting, Uncategorized

Just call me the bag lady, I must own thousands and it wasn’t long ago I posted about the popularity of structured bag shapes in popping colours; for those of you that struggle to downsize your essentials, there’s an alternative to this tightly packed, ladylike boxy-ness!

Ralph Lauren Rick Saddle Bag, £2,405, http://www.ralphlouren.com

In handbag heaven, Slouchy feeling shopper bags are the new anti-classic; their size and ability to hold several  items with ease make them great for work and days out.  They’re not meant to hold any form of square or box-like structure, yet, when worn and carried as shoulder bags they should naturally resemble a saddle shape.

Pre-loved Coach Rivets Dakotah 15 bag, £155 at Tradesy, http://www.tradesy.com

You’ll lose no element of edge when you think outside the box, there’s plenty adorned with studs, animal print and metal clasps for instant rock chick chic!

I absolutely love the style of saddle handbag River Island sell; I have two that I use religiously for busy days where I need to take a lot of things with me.  They’re such a good choice for the girl on the go!
