June is here, which officially means it’s the start of the summer. Exciting. Festival fever will soon be upon us, which means dropping those dull winter warmers in favour of some sizzling hot trends which ooze boho glamour.

Taste the rainbow and get summer party ready in these succulent multicolour Sophia Webster sandals. These beauties are so irresistible they should really come with an envy warning!

Fluorescent pom-poms and tassels are big news and will take the festival fashion scene by storm this summer, be they on wedges or flats. An unlikely comeback that’s cool, colourful and a little eccentric, this trend is a festival in itself.

Block heels meet block colour, with plenty of ditzy tassel detailing, pom-poms and laces to add an element of Coachella cool. Not only are these Aquazzura offerings easy to walk in they tick every 2017 style box. Eye catching and comfortable, you really can have the best of both worlds!

Rebecca Minkoff’s relaxed yet vivid vibe is going right in my beach bag this summer!

When I stumbled upon the Facebook competition to win a pair of the most envy inducing shoes of recent times, I had to enter. SheerLuxe are running the competition until it closes on New Year’s Eve and you could win a pair of the Valentino Rockstud shoes, possibly the most photographed footwear on social media. It’s easy to see why they’re a much wanted shoe.

By the way, here’s the link to that splendid competition!

Good luck!

If you’re on the hunt for a pair, you don’t even have to have the heeled variety, as Valentino have rolled out plenty of flat Rockstud designs too, so you can stay comfy and practical without sacrificing the look.

An entirely new rock mood of the iconic Valentino accessories have been born this year too, some of the bags are adorned with antique silver studs and turquoise stones along with removeable guitar straps.

Rockstud has reached more bohemian levels if the colourful straps are anything to go by!

The Rockstud design, which comprises of lots of square studs, has been a hugely popular trend for shoes & bags. There’s good news, too, you don’t have to pay Valentino prices to get the look!

Web sites like SheIn, Gamiss and good old Amazon have plenty of dupes, all of which are super affordable and are the closest match to the real thing.

Plenty of Rockstud inspired shoes on Amazon, try sellers Kunsto or Minetom.  Alternatively I searched for “studded flat shoes” or “studded shoes for women.”

Another popular bag of 2016 has been the small, crossbody Chloe Drew bag, with its saddle shape and gold hasp. The best place to find amazing Drew dupes is SheIn. You can download SheIn from the App Store.

Rockstud style flats, SheIn, $31

I can’t believe how popular the Rockstud shoes & bags and Drew bags have been recently and I’m sure they’ll continue to be big hits in 2017.  If you have one of the most Instagrammed pairs of shoes to date consider yourself very lucky!

In my last post I mentioned hip London accessory brand Skinnydip London, who know more than a thing or two about creating some of the funkiest bags, clutches and phone protection cases out there!

I love my new black Hannah chain bag, £30 from their Topshop concession, Pom-Pom was a cute add on of my own, also Topshop.  If you’re ordering online for the first time on http://www.skinnydiplondon.com be sure to enter code FIRSTORDER at the check out for a cool 10% off!

Another retailer who have mastered the art of the perfect it bag is River Island, my favourite of their current collection being this denim-hued winged tote.  I just love the gold detailing and bold zippers!

There are a lot of “Ghillie” lace up style shoes about and these black, block heeled peep-toes from New Look will compliment most outfits, I have a feeling they’ll sell like hot cakes!

Iridescent, holographic accessories are here to stay, too, watches and fashion jewellery are another thing New Look absolutely shine at, this iridescent faced gold chronograph style watch is only £19.99!

Amongst my most recent style haul is an amazing monochrome Forever 21 fitted skirt, Aztec style patterns are going nowhere fast!

I also treated myself to a simple but on trend jumper from Primark which features weave detailing, which is big news.

Semi precious necklace was a bargain at £2 in Topshop’s sale

Beauty wise, this week I’ve been taking a break from eye make-up as I have conjunctivitis, hopefully it’ll be gone in no time because my GP prescribed antibiotic drops which are controlling a lot of the symptoms, but I can’t wait to try the newest Bourjois Smoky Stories eyeshadow quads in Grey-zy In Love and Welcome Black (Top picture) once my eyes have fully recovered.

Girls don’t despair if this happens to you, it’s a good excuse to buy new eye make-up!

Hello again!  Feels like it’s been an age since I last posted an update but if you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or my other YouTube channel, Very Vicky, you’ll know I have a new bundle of joy keeping me on my toes!  Perry joined the family over the Christmas period and he’s proving to be a rather playful little boy, into everything and a lively little brother to Charlie.  He’s 13 weeks today and a tri-colour mini Jack Rusell.

I’ve never owned a Jack Russell before and only looked after two for a friend, Perry’s energy knows no bounds and it’s the ultimate JRT trait, according to trusty Dogs 101!

I had a rather peaceful but busy Christmas making sure the puppy didn’t get into anything he shouldn’t like Christmas chocolates, etc but it was a rather memorable one too.

Today I got round to filming a long awaited favourites video for December and January which includes some goodies I got for Christmas plus make up and nail products from brands I love such as Orly and Models Own.  I also discovered the KIKO Cosmetics store that’s just opened at the Merry Hill Centre and I am so happy to finally be trying this terrific Italian brand.  There were KIKO stores across Europe and a recent opening in Birmingham too, but the store at the Merry Hill Centre has all the best of KIKO under one roof!  If you’re yet to try this brand, you’re in for a treat!

Here’s today’s favourites video!

That just leaves me to say my thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues past and present of David Bowie. I was shocked to hear the news of his passing this morning at age 69.  What a sad loss to the music industry.  Bowie’s music, stage presence and general style will remain a huge inspiration for many bands, artists and all his fans worldwide and I’m sure his legacy will live on.  Sleep well, Starman x

Today I thought I’d bring you all an insight into one of my all time favourite drugstore beauty brand, Soap & Glory.

By far this is the most fun, fearless and fabulous British beauty brands and many of their wonder products are available online and at Boots stores.  With the festive season a fortnight away, S&G know more than a thing or two about gift-sets, incorporating the newest innovations in beauty, cosmetics and skincare into all of their Christmas goodies and spreading the same magic all year round.

I’ve never had a Soap & Glory product that hasn’t lived up to it’s promise and I’ve always been impressed with their cosmetic range.

They make excellent use of the best ingredients in their products whether it’s a shower gel, body butter or face primer, and they know how to achieve the perfect balance of explaining the science behind product formula and wowing the brand’s many users with their catchy product names, edgy packaging and a little humour.  If someone was to ask me my no. 1 favourite British drugstore brand, Soap & Glory would win the title.
