Sleek Make-Up have added to their hugely popular collection of spellbinding highlighters with the Distorted Dreams palette.

Made up of five ethereal shades, 3 of which are cream and 2 powder formula, these light reflecting, holographic pigments have your every highlighting need covered.

Sleek Distorted Dreams Palette, £10.99, Superdrug

With a glimmering variety of duochrome tones in its creamy shimmer shades, Distorted Dreams can be used to illuminate your cheekbones, eyelids and lips. Cream with green glitters, cream with blue glitters, and a gold and pink duochrome cream. The powder shades are amazingly stunning too; a shimmery gold powder and a pale pink with purple-pink glitters, which isn’t dissimilar to BECCA Prismatic Amethyst Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighter.

Matte Me Metallic Lip Creams combine the revival of the 90’s Metallic lip trend with the current liquid lipstick trend.

Sleek Matte Me Metallic Lip Creams (from top: Volcanic, Roman Copper and Rusted Rose), £4.99, Superdrug.

Three new shades of metallic liquid lipstick are part of Distorted Dreams collection and they are called Volcanic (frosty muted purple toned rose), Roman Copper (red toned shimmery amber) and Rusted Rose (frosty pink rose).

They apply like normal liquid lipsticks that dry down to a long lasting, velvet matte finish.  Applying a layer of lip balm before applying these will ensure extra comfort and stop the dreaded “matte lip crack.”

Revolution Haul!

Those of you that enjoy reading my beauty related posts will know I am a big fan of the TAM beauty brand Revolution. Fairly new to drugstores, the London brand regularly run out of stock… in a good way. A lot of their professional quality Eyeshadow palettes are the closest dupes to a lot of the more expensive “holy grail” palettes on the market. Neutrals vs New-trals, a 16-shade eye palette is currently sold out on the website, this gem is almost identical to Anastasia’s Modern Renaissance eye palette. If you’re after this palette, but the £32 ($42) price tag is daunting, Neutrals vs Neutrals from Revolution is your new best friend, and for a sixth of the price!

Revolution Neutrals vs New-trals

Having been eyeing up many of Revolution’s offerings on their website recently, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their newest launch: Flawless 3: Resurrection Pro 32 Eye Palette. Beautifully finished off with rose-gold packaging and boasting a large mirror inside, Flawless 3 is the best spring eye make-up collection yet. It’s packed with plenty of lustrous matte and shimmer shades that range from super versatile everyday neutrals to bolder coral shades and berry tones. I thought I would have to order this online but managed to get it in Superdrug. I’m in love with all of the shades and can’t wait to really get experimenting with this!

Another Revolution palette I bought recently and have been loving for everyday is the Ultra Eye Contour Light And Shade. I used to avoid matte eyeshadows, but what these lack in shimmer they make up for in their wearability. This is well worth a try if you want to create a contoured eye make-up look and add definition to the creases and socket lines of your eyes to add natural looking definition. Using a lighter shade as a base and a darker shade around the socket line and crease is an easy way to master 2017’s cut-crease eye make-up trend.

I’ve gotten into the swing of using matte eyeshadows so much so I have also invested in the Flawless Matte Pro 32 eyeshadows too, and I am amazed by the diversity of the shades. Matte doesn’t have to mean flat!

NYX are another one of my favourite brands. Tame & Frame brow pomades are a recent discovery for me. Having used a pencil from Eyeko for my brows for ages, I thought I’d try something different. Tame & Frame are small pots of ultra soft wax formulated to help shape and define your brows. This non-sticky, easy to use product comes in several shades, from blonde to black (I’m currently using Espresso, a dark brown). Highly recommend if you’ve ever found yourself filling in because you got a bit tweezer happy! NYX #19 angled brush works wonders at sweeping the wax in the direction of natural hairs.

Maybelline have had a few newcomers recently. A sucker for a good highlighter, I discovered the all new Strobe Liquid. It’s a liquid illuminator great for highlighting and strobing that I think is very similar to Benefit’s High Beam or Mac’s Strobe Cream, which are a lot pricier.

Wow! The Make-Up Revolution have done it again, with the help of British Beauty Blogger! http://britishbeautyblogger.com/.

If you haven’t checked out British Beauty Blogger, her website has an amazing selection of product reviews, bound to bulge out your beauty wishlist!

This blogger and MUR have collaborated to create an amazing 30-pan eyeshadow palette which is bound to outsell the likes of Urban Decay Vice 4 or UD’s Gwen Stefani palette, both of which I was after, before I learnt this beauty was launching on March 17 (tomorrow!).

Fortune Favours The Brave is a mixture of sheens, mattes, merged shades and subtle metallics in a spectrum of 30 wearable shades, from the most neutral of soft beiges to the deepest black heart plums and navy shades.  There is something for everyone.  If you thought your eye colour or skin tone barred you from creating your smoky-eye dreams, this £9.99 collection will make you think again!

This is another Make-Up Revolution gem I’m hoping to get my hands on soon and I’m looking forward to sitting down and having a good experiment to discover new ways to create electrifying eye looks.

Fortune Favours The Brave, like the Golden Sugar Palette I told you about yesterday, is beautifully packaged and hosts a large mirror inside the lid, as well as a double ended professional brush.

Whereas other palettes focus on just nudes or just night-time smoky looks, with Fortune Favours The Brave the eye make-up look possibilities are endless with a diverse range of wearable hues, which will look good day or night!

There’s a new crop of holy-grail make-up and beauty must-haves launching of late, much sought after and revered by many bloggers and vloggers, they’re being much welcomed onto the market because of their professional quality at a purse friendly price.  The best thing many will agree on is the latest beauty investments won’t break the bank!

Available online and at Superdrug stores, there really is something for everyone in Make-Up Revolution!

Beauty Tuesday: Drugstore Pantone 2016 Favourites!

2016 & trends, Accessories, Beauty & Fragrance, Colours, Cosmetics Collections, DIY Health & Beauty, Economics & Finance, Fashion, High Street Heroes, Nails, Popular Culture, Retail, Style Hunting

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints in Rose Hip & Blueberry, Primark Minty Lip Balm & Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow in Pink Gold (above).

Yesterday’s post was all about 2016’s Pantone colours, mainly the two most serene, pastel like hues, Rose Quartz and Serenity. It seems they’ve been around for a while in the cosmetic industry and are going nowhere fast. Good news if you like to get your beauty trend fix at the drugstore!

Two recent purchases I made couldn’t be closer matches to Rose Quartz and Serenity, Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Paints in Rose Hip and Blueberry. If you’re a Barry M fan, you can get two of these uber glossy polishes for £6 at Boots stores at the moment, I bought two and saved £1.98 on some bang on trend colours. Out of all the polishes I own though, I rarely buy Barry M, but I can’t get over how many of their Gelly Hi-Shine range are perfect matches for the 10 hues in 2016’s Pantone trend forecast!

If you like Rose Quartz and Serenity, Rose Hip and Blueberry (pictured above) are for you!

If you’re looking for something fiery and sizzling, Satsuma is very much like Fiesta,

Whilst Lychee is an excellent muted manicure match for Iced Coffee,

And Key Lime was very much inspired by Green Flash,

Looking for Lilac Gray inspiration? Prickly pear is the ultimate shiny lilac shade for spring,

While Sky Blue is the ultimate colour copy of Limpet Shell!

It’s almost as if Barry M predicted Pantone’s trend colour forecast!

While the more vibrant colours are excellent for your wardrobe, accessories and nails, when it comes to make-up you may want to look to the more subdued shades.  My favourite eye make-up switch up of the moment is Maybelline’s colour tattoo long lasting eyeshadow in Pink Gold, a rose gold shade wearable for most eye colours.

Rummaging around in Primark earlier this week I came across my new favourite lip tin adorned with my favourite animal in pale pink and blue. The minty lip balm inside may lack colour, but Primark sure know how to make pretty tins!

Rockin’ Revlon & Hypnotic Fashion Haul…

In my latest vlog, I prove you can strike gold with fashion and beauty goodies without breaking the bank!

The gold nail polish from my bargain Revlon haul is a metallic from their Amazing Spider Man collection they bought out at the same time the movie was showing at cinemas.  ColorBurst lip glosses would cost around the £6 or £7 mark at Boots and Superdrug normally so I was amazed to come across two gorgeous pinks at Wolverhampton’s Blink Beauty store for £2.99 each.

Knowing where to shop for leading brand beauty and other things at reduced prices has the potential to save you huge amounts of money, plus stores like Blink Beauty are great for stocking fillers come the festive season; if you decide to pay a visit in December, expect it to be busy!

These studded beauties in small chain store Hypnotic were just calling me and I’d seen them before and left them but I had to go back and have them!  Biker style boots with studding and buckle details are great for the cooler months.
